In the winter it can get very cold and the snow is sometimes bad. In the spring there can be problems with flooding if a lot of snow melts at once. Other than that there are very few weather problems.

Most people commute to their jobs from my town. There aren't many job opportunities in the actual town itself.
There is very little crime and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable walking around at night by myself.
