Turners Falls Reviews
Rating 3.44 out of 5 25 reviews
Turners Falls is a small cozy town, that everyone knows everyone. There are pros and cons to that. There isn't a whole lot to do in the town and stores are about 30 min away. We have some mom and pop businesses which I love to support local businesses but many of them are quite expensive so someone living on a budgit may struggle when it comes to just clothes shopping. Turners does have events downtown that really add to that cozy feel I was talking about earlier. Unfortunately there isn't as much of a variety of jobs and because the income is lower in Western Mass so is the salary. This is a bit of a downer because you still doing the same job as other parts of the state and expected to bring the same amount of quality but for much lower income. The safety is pretty comforting there isn't a whole lot and if your driving around you are bound to run into at least one officer.
Turners Falls is a beautiful and diverse village with a lot to offer as far as outdoor recreational opportunities and has nice cultural festivals but is lacking in employment opportunity and shopping options.
It isn’t the best place but it is a place. If you live up on the hill it is fine but if you live downtown, it can be crazy. Not a good place to raise kids downtown. Not close to any mall or Walmart. Restaurants are fine. Could be better
