Tupelo is a good town. I love that it is growing so fast. If I could change one thing about tupelo, it would be to have more activities/groups for young people or young married couples. Groups like book clubs or just more things to do on a friday night rather than just go eat somewhere. However, I know that Tupelo is growing at a fast rate and I am sure that there will be more to offer in no time. Tupelo is much better than it use to be for sure! It's also fun to let people know that Tupelo is where Elvis was actually born and not Graceland. Fun little fact there! Tupelo can be crowded during the day so if you are in a hurry, be sure to know that you won't get anywhere super fast in town by the mall. The roads can get very congested! Just take a deep breath, put on a good radio station and take your time!

Most people are friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. Not overly crowded, you can enjoy meals, walking around the mall, watching a movie, or driving around the city. If you enjoy visiting historical sights, Elvis Presley's house is available to be toured, as well as eating at Johnny's Drive-In or Milam Elementary where he attended school. If you enjoy sport activities, you can swim at the aquatic center, skate at the roller rink, or work out at the wellness center. There's something for everybody in Tupelo - crowds of all kinds! There are many things to do in Tupelo for visitors, but for residents there is often not much to be explored.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I moved to Tupelo for a job opportunity in 2012. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but I’ve fallen in love with this town and will raise my children here. There has been an incredible increase in economic development the years I’ve lived here. This is due partially to more business moving in, young people returning , local restaurants and frequency of fun events downtown and across the city has increased. We love the parks too. The volunteer opportunities in Tupelo make it hard to get board if you’re the kind person who likes donating some time to a good cause.

It’s a great place to live and raise a family.
