Tunkhannock Township is where I’ve grown up, it is a very family friendly town with lots of opportunities in the community for people of all ages. However, Tunkhannock is not an area known for its diversity. Tunkhannock should look to be more welcoming and involved with other ethnic holidays and celebrations.
My family moved to tunkhannock township a little over a year ago and we love it. My neighbors are all friendly. The towns are small and nice.
Everybody knows everybody, small town. A lot of high priced houses but beautiful buildings. Crime rate is Medium, overdose epidemic rose. Lot of history and heritage. Schools are full of bullying, drugs, but the school district has trouble keeping up. Lots of improvements have been made in the schools including downsizing our school to save money since we have less money from the state. We get taxed when it rains. Teachers want Health Care, very unlikely.
Tunkhannock is a quaint little town. People are friendly and there are cute little shops you can find very unique treasures in. They have a Founders Day weekend that attracts thousands of people. It is great to see all those people walking thru our little town.
This would be a great little town; however, there is absolutely nothing for anyone to do other like be a drunk due to all of the bars in the area. There is nothing for any children to do to grow up and be productive members of society.
Tunkhannock is a nice little historic town. It's peaceful, but there's still fun to be had. Within just a few miles of town, you can find places to bowl, hike, golf, skydive, and more. The downside is that since it's such a small town, it can be difficult to find a high-paying job.
I haven't had a problem with crime in my area
