I love the culture of supporting local farmers, business, and community. There are great local restaurants that value local, organic food such as Taproot and Harvest. I love the Community Co-Op, Oryana, where I know I can find quality food and products. I also enjoy having access to spiritually uplifting places like Higher Self Bookstore, Yen Yoga & Fitness, and New Moon Yoga. And last but not least, the Lake! Traverse City is beautiful!

I grew up in a small village about 45 minutes from TC but we would always go there for shopping or church. Those small visits were enough to prompt my family and I to move there a few years later. Currently living in TC, I can say that you won't find another town like it! Most of the people who live/work in TC are kind and friendly. From the Cherry Festival to the lighting of a Christmas tree in the center of downtown, there's never a dull moment.
Perfect combination of small-town and city. Love all of the little shops downtown and then larger department stores, as well as plenty of restaurants and overall diversity!
