My entire childhood has been set in Totowa. It was and still is a very safe and friendly environment. I have never been afraid to walk home alone. The elementary and middle schools are very academically advanced. Students are exposed to learning new things all the time. Perhaps the town could be a little more diverse it is predominantly white. As a hispanic female, I had trouble adjusting to the environment at first. If there was more diversity I believe other students may have an easier time adjusting. My younger relatives currently attend theses schools and are doing very well.

Totowa is mostly republican!!!!
Great place to bring up kids. Great sports and community programs.
Totowa is a small town with a hill and a diverse amount of shops and pizza parlors. I live on a roundabout that overlooks part of New Jersey; it's a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning, especially when it's dawn or sunset. Totowa feels like a safe haven with clean streets so it is not unusual to see families walking or biking on the roads. The scenery is breathtaking so if you like nature, you should definitely think of coming to Totowa. Moreover, I have only been living here for two years but I feel completely integrated; for example, the neighbors and my family have summer barbecues together.
