I have lived in Torrance my whole entire life, and as, yes, my family is not very financially fortunate, I have been fortunate to live here. I reside by the beach, a ten-minute drive from my house sits a beach that I have taken advantage of, and it was only this summer that I have come to realize just how lucky I am to live here. I love the beach now, I love most of the people, I love the opportunities that it gives me and how connected I am to Los Angeles. Although, there has been an uprise of Homeless people with the new inflation or just because of how close we are to the city. And that is the one thing I would like to see change, we need better protection for these people, so that they have places to go and feel as if they are also people who can have these same opportunities as I and not Gawked at for not being as fortunate as that person.
I have had an amazing experience living in Torrance. I've lived in Torrance for most of my life and I have met many nice people. Going to school in Torrance was the best school experience I have ever had. When I first went to Madrona Middle School, I was greeted by many nice and respectful students. I have also met very nice teachers who were always there to help me when I needed help. When I transitioned over to high school, it almost felt like I never left middle school because the students are very nice and caring. Torrance will always have a special place in my heart when it comes to making friends and having an education.
I believe the city of Torrance is a diverse and safe city in Southern California! The Torrance unified school district is one of the best districts, and also has the best hospitals in the area. A very family friendly town with so many parks and things to do, not to mention all of the good food that comes out of this town.
