I've lived in Torrance for over 10 years and all I have to say is LOCATION! Wherever you live in Torrance, in the outskirts or downtown, there's always something to do! The beach (Torrance, Redondo, or Hermosa) is a 10 minute drive. There's also the famous Del Amo mall, where you can get shopping done! Downtown LA is 20 minutes away down the 110 freeway! Running out of things to eat? Don't fret: Torrance offers a diverse variety of foods ranging from Peruvian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Indian, and American options! So many trendy coffee shops are popping up, too! If what you're looking for isn't in Torrance, neighboring cities like Redondo, Carson, Gardena, Lomita, Harbor City, Palos Verdes are all in a range of a 5-15 minute drive to get to what you need!

Here in Torrance we experience pristine SoCal weather! Since we are so close to the beach, the average temperate is between 75-82 degrees! It's amazing!

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! :)

I enjoy the strong sense of the Torrance community, as prevalent in service projects, the Torrance culture arts centre, and other local community events which occur. Weekly farmers markets encourage the maintenance of small, local, family businesses and other annual events encourage the development of community connections. Torrance is the first place which comes to mind when I think of home. If I were to wish to improve anything, it would be the education. Although various resources are available, teachers fail to spark students' motivation to strive for excellence both inside and outside the classroom. As a role model to the future education of America, they should aspire to inspire students, rather than bare minimum work and mediocre qualifications.
Amazing city where you feel comfortable all the time. Not too far from LA, but far enough to calm down from the mainstream city's chaos. Everyone is very friendly and knows their way around the city. There are many stores for shopping, eating out, or entertainment. Their education system is very good as well. A very well rounded city in general!
