Toppenish is a small rural town, mainly populated by Hispanic/Latinos and Native Americans. This town is in Central Washington where there is mainly fruit fields which is also the main source of income for many families living here.
There's not much to do in Toppenish, I don't think it's safe at night personally. Lots of crime, but most people do what they can to make a living. Lots of homeless as well, I hope to see some sort of homeless shelter so they don't have to go to a whole different town with one that's 30 minutes away. I also hope to see the crime rates come down.
Toppenish is a small western themed town filled with murals and cultural diversity. There is not much to do besides eat great Mexican food or genuine with friends in this small town. On the downside Toppenish has a high percentage of gang violence and homeless people, which isn't helping this community at all. despite this the public school teachers are working very caring and genuinely want success from all students and are working hard to improve this community.
Toppenish is a very nice little town about thirty minutes away from Yakima. The schools have an amazing wrestling program looking to get a back to back state title this season, the basketball team is undefeated and is looking for a state title. The community really comes together to support in sports schools and other events around the town.
Toppenish is a small town about 2 hours away from Seattle. It's full of beautiful murals dedicated to our little saying , "Where the west still lives". Toppenish is known for it's amazing wrestling team winning State many years in a row. It's very cultural. The town is full of Hispanic and Native American people. There's amazing food spots all around as well. There is a train museum and parks all around the town.
Toppenish is a small town so mostly nothing ever happens here. When coming here if visiting the churches we love to celebrate the festivals. On Sundays and Saturdays, we have like a market store outside. So when the church finished you could go there for some food or buy clothes. For instance, I live around the center of town so we have the closest places to go to the store. Some people things that Toppenish it weird because of the schools or other things. When something happens to someone we are there for them when they need help.
I've lived in Toppenish for over 20 years I've always heard good things about this little town, community, city halls, and parks were children are safe. most police officers are well known and the flea market a place where we can walk and eat goods. I would love to see the community help out with recycling and helping by donating unused food to local food banks, and clothing for those who have no resource for warm clothing for winter. I love the way that this town is safe and can walk around without being afraid of someone getting run over, shot, and or kid napped.
Toppenish is great place to be, the community and support is beyond anywhere else you could ever find. I currently moved here while I was in school and it was the greatest decision I have ever made in my life. There isn't much to do throughout the town, but the people here are some of the best you'll ever meet.
I love the city of Toppenish because its a city where the income is very low, yet the community comes to together to help support the schools and everyone that is involved which creates a strong community and foundation.
toppenish is very small, but its very nice and relaxing. the people here in toppenish are very nice and helpful.
I like to live in Toppenish because it is a small community and you get to know your neighbors. The only thing I don't like about living here is that there is a lot of crime.
Toppenish has always been great to me even though it seems that there isn't much to do, it has kept me out of trouble and also showed me how family really works and that is because of how small this town is, everyone knows EVERYONE
Growing up in the countryside of Toppenish, I have to say that the town overall is pretty good for historical reasons. Just don't recommend living in town, but in the country like I did. Toppenish does offer a lot in the nightlife with casino, movie theatre, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Market value of a home is fairly decent priced.
Lived in Toppenish all my life, a small town in a valley and on a tribal reservation. Toppenish is known for its historical murals all over the town and its wrestling team with back to back state champions.
I really like that it is a small town and most everyone knows everyone. There may be some instances of violence at some points, but the nice people in town get together to try to comfort the families of those who experience tragedies.
Comes off as bad reputation, but its a nice small city. Has a lot of business and companies, seems to be growing.
Toppenish has been my home since I was five years old and I have grown to love and appreciate this city beyond words. "Where the west still lives" has made our town distinct due to holding a theme and being somewhat of a small, yet interesting sight seeing spot. If I were to change anything about my city I would want to increase the diversity in both food options and people. We tend to have an open and caring community, but not much diversity to appreciate.
