I've lived in Tomball since 1990. I have seen it grown from a 2 lane road to a huge highway with multiple shopping centers and neighborhoods. But so have other surrounding towns. The thing that makes this place always feel like home are the people. Down to earth, willing to lend the shirt on their backs. Downtown Tomball has the small town feel but with trendy restaurants and shops. I grew up as a child here and love that my kids can enjoy it too!

Tomball is a tight-knit community that fuses the best of both worlds; it stretches out from the northwestern arm of the big city of Houston, yet has the feeling of small town America that keeps residents cozy. With festivals down at the Tomball Depot adding life to our community's culture, paired with rich German origins and quaint downtown, and also, a mayor that runs a food truck square downtown, the hidden gems within are serendipitous. The Tomball schools are academically rigorous, yet experience a crisis of overcrowding. Rapid new development means more families moving in, creating a district that is bursting at the seams. Infrastructure and affordable homes are accessible and jobs are growing, leading to this problem. Volunteering in the community is an activity enjoyed by many, with ample opportunities to to give back. Wider range of diversity is taking foot, with people of varied ethnic and racial backgrounds moving in from Houston and other surrounding bigger cities.
Tomball is a Great place to raise a family. It’s quiet and calm. The neighbors are nice and friendly. The town is very welcoming and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else! They have great antique spots for every age. Also, Tomball’s main street hold 100s of festivals every month, from home grown strawberries, freshly caught shrimp, home grown coffee beans, and a variety of parades. The school system is Excellent! Most of my teacher are still there and I’m 24 years old now. There is a variety of food places, we also have an area with the top picked food trucks of America. Great place to settle down with a family and start a farm! the things i would change is the police force!
