Thomaston Reviews

Small town not much to do, I will be nice if the town had a mall, instead of having to go shopping around surrounding town. Over all the town is not very diverse it mostly white and very Republican. Most of the neighbor are very friendly and nice. There are few neighbor that don’t believe in picking up after their dogs do their business on other people lawn which I would say so far has been the only negative thing about the town.
A quintessential New England town. Located in the valleys and foothills of the Berkshires, the town has a special place in American history as the birthplace of Seth Thomas clocks. The clock business may be gone now, but quaint victorian and colonial homes still line Main Street and dot the surrounding hills.
The town is small enough to feel like a village but big enough to support a vibrant culture of art, theater, food, and music.
Residents enjoy easy access to groceries, restaurants, stores, and activities. The 1875 Opera House on Main Street still hosts popular productions under its vaulted victorian ceilings. The public library is one of CT’s best, and the public education system boasts a 10:1 student/teacher ratio.
The town’s, charm, safety, affordability, and centrality have made it attractive to young professionals and families from CT and abroad.

I've lived here my whole life and its only convenience is being quiet and close to bigger towns. Besides that, it is too small with nothing to do and only restaurants on every corner. The majority of the town is white and republican. Hate working in customer service in this town.
