What I like about Texarkana is the benefits you receive by living in a dual state city! You can enjoy all the pros from Arkansas and Texas!

What I didn't like about Texarkana is the traffic. It is terrible for being such a small city. Drivers are very rude. Also, a lot of criminal activity takes place. Safety seems very concerning. Another thing is Texarkana is a terrible market. Employers do not pay there employees well. This could be due to lack of expansion, but employee retention is very low.

Depending on how everyone ranks each issue or non issue is how many stars to put down. To me, Texarkana is an average place to live. If Texarkana can expand and grow, it could rejuvenate the market.

Texarkana is VERY behind in the times. Expect to be treated as a "little woman" with the one job of having kids and getting married by the age of 20. Any kind of independence or opinions will be looked at in horror. The women in this town are all small minded gossips, and the entire world revolves around their kids playing football. They will continue to talk about their kid's football game when they were six thirty years after it happened. The status of your social life depends on what your husband does for a living. If your husband is a doctor or lawyer, as a woman, you have hit the jackpot and will be a big success.
If you were not born and raised in Texarkana, expect to be shunned. There are no exceptions to this. They will be weary and untrusting of you for life. You could live the rest of your life there and no one will accept you. They are behind in the times, and have absolutely nothing to do but obsess over their neighbors business, and kids HS football and cheerleading
Texarkana is a great place to live due to the amount of people partnered with the amount of space. The population is high enough to almost be metropolitan, but with enough room to grow! There are also exciting things to do throughout the city, give it a look!
