Terrebonne Reviews

Town is 1 gas station, 1 larger grocery store (high prices), 1 hardware store and 1 indie grocery store. A "D" grade properly describes the overall "quality." Near village population live in mostly dumpy houses. Place is well known for the local fools who love to cross HWY 97 too close to oncoming N or S bound traffic. It is a game with many near misses and some accidents. Low life like this game.
Most of Central Oregon has only an outdoor "culture" because there is no other lifestyle here. Bend has all the stores, restaurants, etc. It is VERY costly to live there though.
Around Terrebonne people are increasingly coming to live to leave suburban tight pack life and see the country side. I have lived nearby for a loathsome 8 years because my wife wanted country life. Ha!
All the stereotypes of country "folk" are true. Yee haw! But for finances now I'd beat a path back to the Tualatin area.
Terrebonne is a pass through. Central Oregpn: visit but not reside

Terrebonne has been an excellent place to grow up and call home! It has a small-town feel while still less than an hour from Bend. With rivers, mountains, hiking trails, and well-defined seasons, there's a new adventure each day for every nature enthusiast! However, with real estate booming, the area has become quite unaffordable.
It's a very nice small town. There aren't many options for shopping/dining, but it's only 5 miles outside of Redmond, which has more to offer, and about 20 miles from Bend. People are friendly, and it has felt fairly safe. We're only a few miles from Smith Rock.
