Tempe is a beautiful, diverse city. The city boasts excellent parks, fun trails, and the amazing Tempe Town Lake. The parks, for the most part, are very safe. In North Tempe, you will find urban campers using the park ramadas or benches. Kiwanis Park seems endless when you are walking the trails next to huge ponds. Tempe Town Lake is right on the north side of campus and has paddleboard, kayak, boat, the new swans, and paddleboat rentals for the water. They also have multi-seater bikes for rent too. Arizona State University adds so much character and fun to the city. The students make anyone feel young, especially those living close to the university! Tempe has awesome, locally owned restaurants. You can find anything to eat from ethnic food, bakeries, great breakfast spots, and fun nightlife that are all locally owned. I've lived here for 20 years, and I would not live anywhere else!

I've lived in Tempe my whole life. I love the atmosphere and the location. One of my favorite parts is being able to eat and stay local but it isn't a long drive to explore cities such as Chandler or Scottsdale. Most shopping plazas options for grocery shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in the same area. The city is clean and safe. Most neighborhoods have near-by parks and neighbors are friendly and trust-worthy. Overall, I've had a very good experience living in Tempe!
Love Tempe, Arizona. I have lived almost everywhere in Arizona from Prescott Valley to Peoria and I can say that Tempe is probably one of the nicest places in all of Arizona to live. Gas prices are always relatively low and I live right behind a grocery store, everything is very accessible. Weather isn't the best obviously but having a pool helps!
