Tell City is a small, yet progressive community with a picturesque downtown, top-rated schools and an abundance of community celebrations and festivals.
I truly believe that the most important part of any community are its residents and we have some of the very best. People here are in love with where they live and are motivated to continue to improve the local quality of life. There is also a sense of belonging which results in neighbors and community members coming together to help one another in times of need. It's like belonging to one great big family.

Not only a pretty safe place to live it has several large cities within and hour drive. Plenty of places to eat. Bowling Alley, Movie theater, golfing, tennis, fishing, boating, camping, skiing, swimming, Holiday World is only a half hour away. . A big Birthday Celebration each year the first full week of August. There are many denominations of churches. Best thing is the wide streets. Houses are affordable. Really a nice place to live.
Tell City is a nice place for families to live. As with any community, there are some opportunities for improvement. The job opportunities in the area are mostly manufacturing and the social activities for kids are bowling and hanging out in town. There needs to be some more activities for the kids.
