Taylorsville Township Reviews
I was born here and returned here to raise my family. I enjoy the small town atmosphere and appreciate the work put into providing a safe place for my family to live. Recently some new shops have opened up - an ice cream shop, a coffee shop and a shaved ice shop. These really added to the family activity options in town. In addition, during the summer the town has started providing a live music option on the town square. Rocky Face Park is also a great place to get outside and have a safe place to hike and explore with your kids.
I moved to Taylorsville, NC my eighth grade year. It is a very small town which I love because if you ever need anything there is always someone there for you. I never knew that I had so many people care about my me and my family until my dad passed away from a massive heart attack when I was 19 years old and he was only 44. The day of the funeral was very heard but the amount of people that showed up to be there for my family and I was amazing. I now am a single mom to my beautiful 5 year old daughter that has completely changed my life. I recently started college to give my daughter an amazing life. Life for me has not been easy to say the least and this scholarship would help out tremendously.
It's a small town with no entertainment and most of the food industry is fast food. The main attraction is Walmart. I wouldn't advise moving here if you are younger and not retired, because there are no good jobs worthy of a career.
