Taos is a town of many surprises—gorgeous scenery, good restaurants, laid-back atmosphere (rustic but charming). We liked all those things when we moved to Taos nearly three years ago. We like those thing (above) still. What we did not expect to find was a festering racism lacing most of the institutions in town—particularly the failing healthcare facility. There are many good people in town, but the blatant racism we encountered has sullied our entire experience.

Taos is an excellent place to live and work. There is so much diversity and culture! There are excellent recreational activities especially for the outdoors-man. There is beautiful art and breathtaking mountain views! There are also wonderful New Mexican restaurants and other places to eat.
I gave Taos, NM 4 stars. Its really beautiful here with the mountains and beautiful scenery. And there are some really nice people here. People's work ethic could definitely change. People just dont seem to care about work.
