Tallassee is very quiet and everything is easily located. Tallassee does not have many stores but they do open at a decent time. It appears to be very homey. The school system is located in areas that are easily recognizable. The police station is also easily identifiable. The neighborhoods are well groomed but could use some updating. Traveling through Tallassee gives you ways to take short cuts to other cities like Auburn, Dadeville, Montgomery as well as Alexander City and many other places. Those short cuts often offers very scenic routes like beautiful trees and flowers. Traveling through those areas gives people a sense of a country feel.

It is a friendly town, and a very giving town to those less fortunate. There are plenty of churches to choose from. There are also many different places to volunteer. The chamber of commerce is very active in the community. There is a need for more restaurant, with more variety. It also needs an improved recreation facility for the kids. A public pool, or YMCA facility would be nice for the kids also. I do like the way they decorate for the holidays and enjoy the new theater that they have in town.
I love Tallassee, Alabama! I love the small-town feeling! I have lived here my whole life and I absolutely love it! The only thing I think we're missing is a bakery! If Tallassee were to get a bakery it would be the perfect little town!
