Working in Tallapoosa
It is a small town where everyone knows everyone. People are friendly and kind. You know your neighbors and they watch out for you. You can't go anywhere without seeing someone you know. It's a great city! The only thing I would change is the fact that there is nowhere for the kids to hang out. I think a game room, skating rink, bowling alley, or something of those sorts would be very beneficial for the community.
Tallapoosa is a Southern town located within the ABC Triangle (Atlanta, Birmingham, Chattanooga). Away from the hustle and consisting of only 3,000, this town harbors a strong sense of community. Perfect for families, Tallapoosa offers public schools for all ages and are the center of focus. Memorial parks display names of veterans and military equipment. Unique entertainment opportunities are offered at the Mud Park, Dogwood 5k and the Possum Drop on New Years. Although a rural area, Tallapoosa provides all the staples needed for daily living including a library, museum, restaurants, medical care, event venue, golf course, and more. Commute time is reasonable and traffic rare. Our police work hard to create an atmosphere of comfort. Many companies have brought opportunities but commercial space is still available. A community garden and skatepark would be exciting additions to promote good health. School scheduled events at nursing homes would also be rewarding for both groups.
It's a great town for the elderly and teenagers to go to high school. The school is a 5-star climate school ranking in the top 5% in schools of Georgia. It's not really a town for 20-29-year-olds. It's kinda slow and old but very historic. I love it and it's been my home forever. If you're looking for a place to stop and get a small town expericnce then stop on by.
