New businesses are showing up with offerings of workshops included but not limited to mindfulness techniques, open and non-violent communication, physical fitness, and gender inclusion. It's quite refreshing to witness what was once ,most historically, a farming town, transition into the new times of helping young men and women cope healthily in our ever-changing environment, careers, and social interactions.

Talent is a small town in Souther Oregon. It has a lot of small, locally owned stores which is great for small business. It has a very personal feel that has lasted through big business boom and online businesses such as Amazon. The neighborhoods are cute and safe, kids play on the streets and neighbors walk their dogs after dark.
Talent has a slower pace and is very easy to navigate. It definitely has been getting busier each year but that's to be expected with so many SOU college folk moving here. It's much more quiet and less expensive than Ashland, which proves to be desirable. A few more restaurants would be nice, though. It would help bring others to town.
