I was born and raised in the same house in Syracuse Utah. I have seen it grow from a small farming community to a suburban area with a great family oriented atmosphere. Its a safe community and although there might not be a lot to do at first glance, there are plenty of opportunities to make your own fun!

Syracuse is a quaint little city 40 minutes away from Salt Lake City. Nobody really knows where this is but we are surrounded by many exciting things like 4 big malls, an airport, and countless restaurants. In Syracuse you can go to Antelope Island which is a beautiful drive down a causeway onto an island you can camp on or just hang out for the day. Yes, you are surrounded by water on the island but no you do not want to swim. The water is the Great Salt Lake so, obviously, it is mostly just salty and gross.
Been living here for 13 years and it's been a lovely time! Syracuse is a great little city. Plenty of beautiful, open farmer's fields and great views of Antelope Island one way, yet grocery stores and other conveniences are conveniently close. There's not much by way of "night life", but that's the appeal of a small town. Lots of schools, nearby biking and running trails, a fishing pond...and all only 15 away from the freeway!
