I like the lake and beautiful nature and scenery it has to offer. I also like the fun it offers like the movie theater, also the law enforcement there are extremely professional and hard working.

I would like to see more community activities. While the Oregon Jamboree is fun (primarily for the visitors) I think there should be more things to do for the locals.

Some may say that Sweet Home is an average town just from driving through. Sweet Home to me, is much more than average. Sure, like any town we have people in our community that have fallen short in life and are homeless. I think every town has homeless. Sweet Home is different though. I have seen the community come together, including myself to help the homeless that we have. An although it has a large drug problem, what small town doesn't. You're only subjected to the drugs if you're on that side of the tracks. Sweet Home will always have its negatives, but the positives out weigh those. The lake, highschool, churches, lbcc, parks, the hiking, the views..Those are just some of the things that we have. There is no other small town I'd rather be apart of. There's no other town that I'd strive to make a better place, like I do along with the community.
I grew up in sweethome until I left for college. This town is small but quaint and is very community centered. While there are not a ton of potential jobs, it is a great place to raise a family. There are several activities for families such as going to the lake or walking around visiting the local shops. The schools were amazing because of the teachers. All of the teachers I learned from truly cared about me as a person and wanted to help me achieve my own goals.
