I absolutely love Swanzey. It is a very small town that knows each neighbor and person down the road. Everybody is always nice, and willing to help make any problem better. There have been a couple roads that start to get very bumpy and unpleasant to drive on, but are starting to draw attention to and getting fixed. There are a lot of old building/landmarks that are still well kept and beautiful. Swanzey is a very safe town for all types of families.
Swanzey is a quiet town. I usually have to go to Keene to go shopping, which is only 15 minutes away. There aren't much things to do in Swanzey itself. It is a scenic town, with rivers and covered bridges. I'd say it's a good neighborhood to go on a bike ride or walk your dog (but you have to pick up the poop). Some people are friendly, others aren't.
I love the country setting in Swanzey and the sense of community. Swanzey has some great festivals such as the old home day. I used to work at the high school and I loved working with the teachers at the high school. The school was definitely futuristic and above their time. I loved that the students had one to one devices and were prepared for the future.
