Sussex is on the smaller side, so it is nice to easily run into people you know in the supermarket. However, being in a rural and conservative area, there is very low diversity and it tends to be close-minded.
I have lived in Sussex for all of my life. It is full of lots of farms and cows and fresh food. Sussex is close to New York and the shore. It also is home to the highest point in New Jersey, High Point Monument.
I had a great childhood in Sussex, but it has its flaws like anywhere else. A nice rural area, away from major highways and noise and traffic. But to get anywhere interesting you need to drive.
