We have a Kroger grocery store, it's most often referred to as "Ghetto Kroger". Most people drive a little farther to avoid it if they can. There are a couple other business like the "Ghetto Kroger" which are a little rough around the edges but are decent once inside. You are almost surprised that the inside does not match the outside. Their is a very nice strip mall a little outside downtown that has a lot of nice businesses, like a Bead Store, a yarn place, a phone company, a hallmark store etc.
Too cold, locals are too unfriendly compared to other places around the country. The only nice area nearby is Ann Arbor, but it's too expensive to live there.
