Sumrall is such a great place to live. Sumrall has excellent schools and great people. Its a wonderful place to raise a family, majority of the kids in Sumrall have both parents in home. That cut down statistics in the town of Sumrall alone. Sumrall is very small, every one knows each other. Sumrall is like one big family. When I lost my 4 year old daughter last year, the love poured in from the town of Sumrall. My house was overflown with people, some that I have never meet. People wanting to help my family at any cost. Sumrall elementary placed a beautiful stone in front of the school in her remembrance. The elementary school also dedicate a full page in the yearbook and also dedicated a day to my baby girl as well. The town of Sumrall donated an Angel in her name, to hang in the town during the Christmas season. Sumrall is one a the greatest places to live but if any changes can be made I will love if the park can be upgraded.

Sumrall is one of those communities that gives you a place to not only grow, but also develop. The town of Sumrall connects its residents by providing celebrations and festivals; to name a few are the Christmas parade, Homecoming parade, Fourth of July in the park, Sumrall Cinema, and Relay for Life. Through these activities, the community grows closer together by getting to know other people of the town. The school is a part of the Lamar County School District, an excellent district that received an "A" rating for the 2016-2017 year. On the other hand, the only downside is the limited options of places to dine; the town would benefit by inquiring a new restaurant such as Sonic. The placing of the town is also beneficial. It is a small town that is conveniently twenty minutes away from Hattiesburg, the Hub City, and only an hour and a half away from New Orleans or Gulf Port. Overall, Sumrall is a great place to live because it is community-oriented and has a great school.
Sumrall is a small town with a great school. It is close enough to a big city to have all of the Modern conveniences, but still keeps a small town feel where you know or recognize most people at the Friday night football game.
