Working in Sulphur
Easy access to groceries, fast food, parks, schools, and casinos. Family friendly for the most part. The elementary schools offer immersion programs for second languages. There is a local water park kept up by the city. The kids love going during the summer. There is a dog park also. We love being part of a small town.
I would love to see the educational system care more about actually meeting the requirements of our special needs students. Instead of failing a student for lack of teachers, provide the education they need to succeed. Instead of trying to put children on probation for drawing on their uniforms, understand why they did so in the first place. Treat our special needs kids like they matter not like they are a problem.
I really love the Sulphur/LC area. I just wish the traffic wasn't as bad, like everyone, and that money was being spent a little more wisely. I also wish homes were a little more affordable...
