Maybe I'm biased from living here all my life but I feel like the climate is enjoyable here. A resident can enjoy each of the four seasons and what they have to offer-snow, rain, sunshine, flowers, and leaves falling. Our summers are warm and not intensely hot like most Southern states. Our winters have been somewhat intense in the past couple of years but don't last too long. Fall and Spring are the best seasons, in my opinion. Fall has such beautiful colors while Spring has the peaceful aromas and vibrant colors of the blooming trees and plants.

The overall job outlook for this area has improved over the past few years. More jobs are becoming available due to our city building new businesses and expanding existing chains. I feel that the top employers in this area are ones that require a college degree or equivalent. I recently obtained certification as a nurses assistant and have noticed that my job opportunities and offers have greatly increased.
In West Terre Haute there are barely any restaurants, unless you are in the mood for pizza. The Illiana Pizza place is good and it is located by the Casey's gas station. There are many bars, but the nightlife is tame.
