Very good school system here. Plenty of housing opportunity. Rural area with lots of development taking place. University nearby as well. Great place to raise your kids!

I have lived in Stroudsburg for 4 years now, and although the town is being built up with tons of chains, restaurants, and other stores, I still have a tendency to get bored of the small town, feeling as though there are not many exciting places to go. If Stroudsburg built up more facilities which offered fun things to do, I feel the town would be less boring. Outside of this however, Stroudsburg is also only 5 minutes away from the many Delaware Water Gap trails, and just 15 minutes away from various water parks including; Kalahari!!!
I enjoy going into Stroudsburg for the events they offer. For example they host a farmer's market, the garlic festival, and many other exciting events. I also like to walk down Main Street and going into some of the local shops and restaurants that are there.

No matter what time of year you visit Stroudsburg, you'll find things to do including movies, shopping, and more.
