Stockbridge is so perfectly situated and "comfortably south" of Atlanta! It is certainly a metro area, but it has managed to retain hints of rural community living. The natural beauty of Panola Mountain State Park and our other fabulous city parks and the convenient access to Atlanta is hard to match. I would like for our city to be updated, with fewer empty storefronts and safer roadways that encourage pedestrians and cyclists alike.

I like that Stockbridge is a good place to grow up and raise a family. When I first moved here the area was much smaller, and now it is one of the fastest growing cities in Georgia. That being said, gentrification is apparent in certain areas and the demand of certain businesses seems to be outweighing what our area really needs. We need less empty strip malls, auto stores, and repeated restaurants such as McDonald’s. Stockbridge would thrive if there were more pet friendly parks, different/eclectic eateries, and less unnecessary construction.
My experience with the city of Stockbridge is great! I have been living here for over ten years now and have never came across any criminal activities, harm, nor danger. The only thing that I would change is maybe adding in some activities around this area instead of having to drive to Atlanta.
