I have lived in Sterling for 17 years and I have loved every moment of it. The overwhelming sense of community here is excellent, with events and fundraisers to help those in need and bring us together. From Give. Love. Fight. and our annual Tree Lighting to the Fire Station Barbeque and our Memorial and Veterans Day parades featuring our local Girl and Boy Scout troops. Growing up here has been a privledge unlike any, seeing so many displays of love and compassion for families in hardships. I have been a part of the Girl Scouts for 10 years, Young Adults Helping Out Others for 3 years and a student in town from preschool to grade 8. I have truly enjoyed the opptunities to volunteer and help better the town I love.
Sterling, Massachusetts is a quaint little town with lots of space and farmland. The views are very beautiful, and the center of town is a great place to hang out with friends. Sterling is a close-knit community, and everyone is welcoming.
Sterling is my hometown and one that I love. I grew up going to the local nursery school and now I work there during summers and vacations. I also attended the small elementary and middle school in Sterling. Sterling is a regional school district, so for high school, I was bused to the the neighboring town of Holden and attended a high school with over 2000 students from 5 neighboring towns. Sterling is a farm town and each year we hold the Sterling Fair in town. Local farmers displaying their animals, tractor pulls and frog jumping contests were a few things I've experienced at the Sterling Fair. Sterling is a small family oriented town. One where most people know each other. I look forward to raising my family in Sterling someday.
