Stanwood has a friendly atmosphere. It's a great place to live as there are many activities for families. You can find anything you need as there are many shopping areas, an outdoor farmers market, great restaurants, places to stay, indoor and outdoor activities. It is close to the water and right next to Camano Island. Everything is close by and easily accessible. The school district is rated one of the best in Washington. Stanwood is also a farming community and support for local farmers and what they produce is promoted. Kids activities are encouraged and there are many contests and activities geared for children of all ages.
Stanwood is a quiet little place that makes you feel out in the farm area but still close enough to town. The people are nice and non-judgmental. Although there are not very many activities to do at night, it is not too far to find the nightlife.
