Downtown Stanley has a nice feeling to it. Most of the people are very nice with the typical southern charm, but there are a few groups that are not as welcoming. Very tight knit group. Stanley is very homey once you get used to it.
I have lived in the Stanley Area since 1993 and i wouldn't trade my town for the world. Its a small community where everyone pretty much knows everyone and all the young people went or are going to school together. Nothing major really happens as far as crime which makes it a good place to raise a family. On the down side since the town is so small there is not many places to eat but don't worry Gastonia is about fifteen minuets down the road and there is plenty of places there. All in all it's just a nice rural town to raise a family and the high school football games aren't bad either.
Stanley, NC is a cute, small town. There isn't much to do, but it's the community that makes Stanley so great.
