With a population of a little over 3,000 people, I'd say this town quite homey. Nothing really happens here, so when something really drastic happens, everyone lends a hand. Being that the churches run the town, I'd say that Stamford is a community of faith. At the football, basketball, and baseball games before every event the whole town prays. I'm a minority here, so I don't take part in a lot of activities like most kids in school would. For instance, me being gay would effect me being in football because people wouldn't feel comfortable with me being in the same locker room even though I would never do something like invade another persons privacy. So I don't attempt to compete in any sports. The community being run by the churches is a good thing to people who do not think outside the box. But that time will come soon for Stamford Texas.

Most people like to live in a huge town, but this place just feels like home filled with sweet, nice, people.
