I like Stallings because you are close to stores and it's convenient for trips with friends or family. I love all the trees and land as it provides wildlife with habitats and makes the housing development looking natural. What I wish would change would be the involvment of the community. I'd like to see my neighborhood as well as others, come outside and have a bonfire or a lunch gathering to get to know one another and have a good time. Nowadays, everyone holes up in their houses and don't take the time to get to know the neighborhood or street. You never know, you could create a lasting relationship for the rest of your life or you could be indirectly helping someone to be happier.

We have lived in Stallings for the past 8 months. We love the closeness of Matthews and downtown Charlotte. Stallings has a small town feel but with access to everything Charlotte has to offer.
My little suburb of Charlotte is absolutely the perfect place to grow up. The people are kind and caring, and the house is close enough to the city that entertainment is never hard to come by. At the same time, it's far enough away from the city that crime isn't something to worry about, and it's quiet at night. While I want to move somewhere with a bit more energy as I enter my professional life, I would definitely recommend Matthews as a place to grow up.
