St. Rose is a town where you can walk down the street without almost any fear. Yes we have our fair share of crime, but not much. Everyone here for the most part is friendly, and you can tell by just the wave of a hand. The school system here is one of the best in the state for public schools. ACT scores could be higher as an average, but the graduation rate is very up there. You have a well range of businesses in the area. You don't need to go that far to get what you need.
Living in St. Rose is a mixed bag of many positives and negatives. The nearest high school is located in the near city of Destrehan, which is Destrehan High, a fairly moderate education-dispensing institution, one that should not disappoint if it is a family's only option due to the school's convenient location over other high schools in the not-so-immediate area. Moreover, St. Rose is overall quite safe all things considered. The emergency response time is generally quick, and the amount of violent crimes reported on a daily basis is very low with neighborhoods having good amounts of security and families looking out for each others' safety. All in all, when deciding whether or not to live in St. Rose, one needs to ask if living in a cheaper neighborhood is worth the added travel time and gas consumption to one's daily commute.
It is safe, has excellent schools with free after school tutoring and active teachers. There is little to no crime and people are open and friendly to several groups of people. There is a diverse range of incomes and ethnicities in St.Rose. It is not too far away from New Orleans and commuter time is typically 20 minutes.
