St. Paul is one of the best cities to live in. We are updating buildings as well as community gardens that teach people to grow fruits and vegetables and to sell and trade with the community. The emergency services are the most considerate and kind people you will meet. On a nice summer day when they are slow they will be at a school playing and teaching kids. They stop to ask how your day is going. One thing I would change is how the streets are plowed during the winter. Compared to other cities we are falling very behind. Side streets take a beating when it is only plowed one time and not touched again until the next blizzard. However, when they do plow it is a decent job and I am thankful for everyone who works behind the scenes in the city of Saint Paul!

I am lucky enough to live a couple blocks from Summit Ave and and 2 miles from Cathedral Hill. I am surrounded by beautiful old homes, big trees and beautiful gardens in the summer. I am within easy biking distance from everything I could need and I feel completely safe going anywhere. Plus, the food is delicious! My friends and I try to go to a new restaurant every month but we are way behind on our list because there are so many options.
The arts are important in this city! There are several theaters - professional and community. The St Paul Chamber Orchestra is one of the top rated orchestra in the US. In the heart of downtown, you will find the Ordway Theater offer well know musicals right next door to the Xcel Energy Arena, where the MN Wild play. Just up the hill lies the St Paul's Catholic Cathedral. It's stunning with high ceilings and nooks and crannies to explore. Of course St Paul is the capitol of MN, so activism is present! Each city block has character.
