I grew up in a small town in St Joseph, MN. It is a small, tight community that is primarily composed of 2 private Catholic schools. It has been a great area to grow up in. I think it has been a safe place to raise a family. However, I grew up and my family was a neighbor of a kid named Jacob Wetterling that was kid napped in the 90's. It was a huge deal in the community and this year, almost 27 years later they finally found his remains and convicted the suspect. But, the way our community came together in a time of need for that family was amazing! That is just one examples of the importance of having a community that supports one another. My hopes for St. Joseph, MN is that it continues to grow and diversify, but still maintain its small town feel. I also hope it can grow its economy and add a bigger labor market to the area.
St. Joseph is a nice small town. It has Kennedy Community School, which is a great, modern school. I feel very safe walking around the town, and everyone seems friendly. I like being close to St. Cloud, so I have more options for things to do.
It's a lovely quiet town, but nothing special. Nothing that makes this little town stand out. Although many residents here are rather nice, their personalities match the boring, bland atmosphere in this town.
