I have spent most of my life in Saint Charles, and for the most part it has been an amazing town to grow up in! It is just a short drive from Saint Louis - about thirty minutes - but you would not know that just by experiencing St. Charles. The population is about 70,000 people but there is a very small town atmosphere here. Main street is a very cozy brick street with hundreds of shops and hangouts, which is perfect for families and friends to meet up at. There are plenty of parks around, as well as a wide option of public and private schools.

St. Charles, MO has been a fantastic place to grow up. There is so much to do for all age groups. Going down to Historic Main Street is a fantastic way to enjoy the history of the town, while also getting to shop and enjoy a variety of different restaurants. Running alongside Historic main is the Katy Trail, which is a great place to get a workout in. The schools in the area are very nice, and offer a good education. The main complaint about living here is the roads are in rough condition, many having large potholes. Aside from that, living in St. Charles is a lovely experience.
I was born and raised in St. Charles. I graduated from St. Charles High School. Great public schools! St. Charles supports small business, there is a variety of small family owned business on Main Street that flourish in the St. Charles City area. There are many great parks around town. They keep the parks clean and maintained on a year round basis leaving it a very family friendly city.
