St. Augustine is a beautiful, slow growing, small town beach town. Lots to do for families, young adults and people looking for outdoor activities. Great community for locals and tourists.
Loved growing up in St.Augustine beach! The culture, food, beach, and history just can’t be beat! Check out the local favorites like Kookaburra & Taco Shop. Afterwards, visit our historic downtown on St. George street. There’s a fun (but more chill) night life as well. Live music pretty much every night. Mix of age groups out but you’ll definitely run into Flagler students! If you’re here for the holidays, downtown has a million Christmas lights which are beautiful! Or head to the beach for some relaxation and privacy. There is something for everyone here!
St. Augustine is really cool especially being the oldest city in the nation. It is very family friendly and loads of fun.
I love the atmosphere and the people. everyone is friendly and kind. Clean city with lots to see and do.
I moved to St. Augustine Beach in 2015 from Jacksonville, FL. Living here is a drastic difference when compared to Jacksonville. Overall, the atmosphere is family-friendly and very safe. There are many places to visit and many things to do. Restaurants and businesses are currently working on increasing the night life here. St. Augustine Beach tends to be very touristy, with loads of people from many places around the world. I have been able to make many friends who live very close to me. The beach is a step away. This small town in St. Augustine grasps a "homey" feeling full of happiness and fun.
St. Augustine Beach is a very nice place to live. Our neighborhood is mostly quiet. The beaches at times are crowded due to tourism. But as a whole, the beaches are very pleasant.
I went on spring break here one time. And I fell in love with st Augustine beach. It is amazing. Lots to do. great for kids. Can’t wait to come back
Great vacation spot and family friendly. Affordable prices, but not for living there. Just for vacation.
I love Saint Augustine beach. Especially after hurricane Matthew, it is evident that the community came together to clean up and restore this part of town. There seemed to be a lot of destruction but I could tell the city's spirit was not broken. I really enjoyed the tranquility of the beach and the multitude of places to choose from for food and leisure. My personal favorite was the restaurant Salt Life. Their food was superb and you could see the ocean from the deck. I would recommend this part of Saint Augustine to anyone willing to have a relaxed afternoon.
So many tourists it can get annoying, but you meet amazing people and everyone is different. Definitely a beach town, you can tell because everyone is barefoot. Amazing food and amazing places to go.
Driving is horrible. It's actually very expensive. Especially to get anything done with your car. I've lived in Delaware and West Virginia; both states were much cheaper than Florida. It's also way too hot down here and the parking is horrendous. Absolutely ridiculous, especially in St. Augustine.
We could use more Public Transportation
The workers stay on top of it usually
we have health freaks and overweight people too
I've always been able to find a job when I need one.
Has everything you need here!
