Spruce Pine Reviews
I love this small town, I feel incredibly safe here. It is a wonderful little town, with many interesting attributes. I will definitely come back post college.
Amazingly beautiful scenery, but that's about the only plus. People are not so nice, or trustworthy. There's nothing to do, Wal-Mart is the main attraction
There are few available job opportunities here. Most jobs only pay small fraction of what you’d normally be paid elsewhere. The culture revolves church. The local demographics feel like 94% southern baptist, 98% white, 99.999% Republican. Hey, there’s beautiful scenery though; better come see it before the local strip mine digs it up. If you’re over the age of 23, don’t expect to find someone to date either; most people here get married at 18-22.
