Springfield Reviews
Rating 3.41 out of 5 253 reviews
Springfield, Illinois, is a great place to grow and learn as a person. Springfield teaches its citizens and visitors a lot about leadership as we are the city known for Abraham Lincoln. The public school system is amazing as it strives to help students grow and help Springfield students grow into strong, independent leaders. The city is a perfect size as it is big enough to have amazing diversity and an exceptional and gorgeous downtown area, but it still is small enough to get from one end of town to the other in 15-30 minutes. There are many government and corporate jobs as the city of Springfield and the state government are the number one employers in Springfield. There are many opportunities for minimum wage and small business jobs. Countless restaurants are constantly looking for hires and employ a lot of younger kids in the city. Historic downtown Springfield is a gold mine for small businesses and Springfield does a great job at supporting the local business in Springfield.
I've lived in Springfield my entire life. The town is where I was born, where my house is, and where I've attended school. Growing up, I didn't like Springfield. I always wished that I lived in a bigger city with more things to do and nicer weather. As I've gotten older, I've slowly learned to appreciate it. I'm fortunate to attend a great public high school that I feel safe in. The community is extremely family friendly and seems to be affordable. Also, a perk about Springfield is that everything is no further than thirty minutes away. As mentioned earlier, some may come to Springfield and think that there is nothing to do. However, I have realized that there is a great downtown area with many cute shops and events. Plus, the town seems to keep on growing. Springfield is getting new things every year. For example, within the next few years, a Raising Cane's and a brand new turf sports complex will be added. Springfield has more to offer than people think, and it keeps getting better.
Springfield is a decent, smallish town that is an average place. There is nothing that makes this town special. It has some rich doctors and some impoverished groups. There is a lack of fun things to do and only some fun places!
