I have lived outside of Springfield or in Springfield all of my life other than two years while I was in college previously for two years. I remember years ago when you could go to the mall and be able to shop till you drop, but now you are lucky to be able to shop at all. If you are wanting to go to a mall setting you have to drive to either Dayton or Columbus which is in covenant. Also another thing that has hit Springfield hard is the drug epidemic. You really cant go anywhere in Springfield without seeing some kind of drug activity. With that being said there are some good qualities of Springfield. There's some historical benefits in Springfield, a museum, (very close to the Air Force museum as well) they have a summer activities at the park, and they have many playgrounds that are safe and fun! The city of Springfield has lots of job readiness and opportunities!

I like that I am close to family, and my children get to grow up with lots of family! I like the fact that its like 10 minutes from where I grew up. Everything is really close.
I would like to see more things come to our community. More resources in our schools to get things for our youth. To have more opportunities to further education, for instances people change and if they didn't succeed at first you try, try again! You can take me as an example I messed a lot up before when I attended college so now I am most definitely paying for it. School does not come easy for me and I am at a point in my life where I have 3 teenage daughters, I was a teen mom and have overcome all kinds of road blocks but, now that I am ready, have a huge wonderful support system I am at a stand still because I can't afford it.
Springfield is overall a great place to live. It is full of small businesses, Mom-and-Pop Diners, and great parks to hike, fish, and play sports. I gave Springfield a 4-star rating, however, because of the crime and drugs throughout the city. Although Springfield has its many benefits, the abundance of crime and drugs has effected the city's community. This aside, Springfield is a great place to visit.

P.S. If you visit Springfield you have to try Schuler's Donuts!
