I loved growing up in the little town of Spring Mount. It was a small community and everyone new everyone. There was not a whole lot for the kids to do, but we always had fun and came up with things to do. Skiing in walking distances was always a blast and we had a pretty nice sledding hill before the township took it and built townhomes. Summer was filled with kick-ball and pool hopping. Life was happy and carefree in the little town of Spring Mount!
Spring Mount is a mall, quiet town off the beaten path but close enough to many attractions, shops and jobs. The Perkiomen trail runs though, traveling from Green Lane to Oaks and connects to the Schuylkill River Trail, which leads to Philadelphia. It takes you past many parks and historical sites. The Perkiomen Creek runs through Spring Mount and is great for water sports like canoeing and kayaking. Beautiful Spring Mountain Adventure ski slope is a year year round attraction, not only just for skiing but haunted hay rides, zip lines, obstacle courses and more. Spring Mount is home to the annual Folk Fest, which is an 80 acre farm becomes an multi day outside music festival.
The general area is okay because there are a lot of places for families to live to stay in a good school district. We are also 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and 2 hours from New Jersey shores and New York. There are some great tourist attractions for those passing through, like King of Prussia mall and Green Lane park. I see the future of this area flourishing as the students grow and graduate and start to open more businesses and take over the business area around King of Prussia.
