I love living in Spring Lake, NC. I am close to so many places to eat out. Plus there are so many niche places to grab a coffee, smoothie or something to eat.
Walmart and Walgreens are also very close. I have lived in both a house and an apartment in Spring Lake and have found both enjoyable. Spring Lake has a lot to offer for a small town. It is minutes from Fort Bragg so it makes an ideal location to live in if you are in the military or employed as a contractor on post. I highly recommend living in Spring Lake. You won't regret it!

I really enjoy the small town field of Spring Lake even though it's right outside of the Fayetteville and with multiple military installations in the surrounding area, including Ft. Bragg. There seems to be 2 types of Permanent residents that live here and make it their home for home and then there's the military That lived here while stationed. It is a very beautiful and has a small town feel to it. You have the beach and outer banks within a couple hours in one direction and the beautiful smoky mountains a few hours in the other. There is an element of crime that 1 should be aware of but that seems to be on the rise anywhere you go anymore.
Good restaurant and shopping options. If there isn’t a store you want in spring lake, Sanford and Fayetteville are both a short driving distance. Good family environment. You will have to drive for employment most likely but it is good to live a little bit away from the main city.
