I moved to Spring Hill in 1988. Shortly thereafter I became a Realtor with Century 21. It helped me feel part of the community. Spring Hill was more or less a retirement community then, but by the time I retired after 20 years in real estate, Spring Hill had been discovered by a younger demographic with children, so now the mix has changed the landscape here. Many commute every day to Tampa for better job opportunities, but live here because they can get a more affordable home. Spring Hill is centrally located an hour from Tampa Intl. Airport...2 hours from Disney in Orlando, and about an hour and a half from the beaches in Clearwater. Overall, Spring Hill is a good place to live!
Review Spring Hill
It's not that Spring Hill is bad in anyway, especially because since where I live, everything is only about a five minute drive in any given direction, but the worst part would be the snow birds. These people come and, as someone with 'places to go, people to see' I often get infuriated when I find myself stuck behind them in traffic. Otherwise, Spring Hill is definitely on the come-up with new restaurants like Bonefish and plenty of auto parts stores to take care of your car for many lifetimes. I think the road expansions that happened a couple years ago really helped boost our town.
Spring Hill, though lacking in activities, is a wonderful place to live. The cost of living is rather cheap and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. This city doesn't really have that congested feel unless you go to one of the near Walmarts. Everyone is relatively nice and they mostly keep to themselves but there are a few that make living here kind of special. I can honestly say I've never had such a close relationship with my neighbors. Everything you need is pretty close by which you have to love and Tampa, FL is only about 45 minutes away. I'd like to see Spring Hill keep growing; there's a lot of things being brought in and if they stay on that track Spring Hill will be one hell of a place to live.
