Sparta is a relatively small, country town located in Middle Tennessee. There are a few chain restaurants, like McDonald's and Taco Bell, and very few stores, mainly Wal-Mart and Jackson Kayak. The people are generally lower middle class, and there is an opioid problem circulating the town. The scenery is beautiful and there are several parks, but there isn't much to do outside of that.

Sparta is a very family friendly environment. The school systems are amazing and the teachers are great. Although Sparta does not have a lot to do for the youth in the community. The city is trying to change that and has recently added a skate park for children, teens, and adults. The majority food places is fast food with the few sit down restaurants. Sparta is very close knit and is easy to get around in. Sparta is a great place to call home
Sparta is a typical small southern town. It's a rather quiet, closely knit community that has fewer attractions compared to surroundings areas such as Cookeville. Although it may seem sleepy or boring to those who are accustomed to busier areas, it is a gorgeous geographic location. Most of the county is located on the Cumberland Plateau which provides several natural overlooks and even a few waterfalls to observe. Anyone with an interest in hiking or agriculture would mesh well in this community.
