Southfield Township Reviews
Southfield is an AWESOME place to live! It is sometimes UNFAIRLY compared to Detroit. Southfield IS NOT Detroit and IS IN NO WAY similar to Detroit. Southfield is a different and BETTER world! It is safe, clean, beautiful, racially harmonious, thriving and peaceful. It is a multicultural suburb and the people who live here get along quite well and do our very best to give it there all to ensure that it is very well maintained in every way possible. I have lived in Southfield for the past 18 years and it is still the same beautiful amazing suburb it has always been. And did I mention our Police Department? The Southfield Police Department is THE BEST in the world. We LOVE our cops! They do not profile, practice or tolerate fascism. The only place I could imagine living other than Southfield is Grosse Ile, Beverly Hills, West Bloomfield Township or Farmington Hills! Southfield has been touched by the hand of God for sure. We are a VERY uniquely BLESSED community!
I grew up in southfield over all its a clean organized city with lots of imporvement and economic oppurtunites that is full of divesity. lots of shops and food stores as well as resaturants and clothing stores and various entertainment available like bowling, pool, jazz lounges, movie theatrs, night clubs. lots of diversity African Americans, caucasian, indian, middle eastern, Jewish, catholic, Christian.
What I like most about Southfield is the feeling of belonging. At first, when I moved to the area I was hesitant to communicate with anyone. I was the new kid in town and was just too afraid to interact with people. However, one day when I was driving along and noticed I was extremely low on gas. I stopped at a gas station unfortunately, I didn't have any money on me and my debit card wasn't working properly. I didn't have anyone to turn to. My family didn't live in the area and I hadn't made any friends yet. A person pumping gas saw my frustrations and asked me what was wrong. I told them what my situation was and out of the kindness of their heart they not only paid for my gas but also filled up my tank. I explained that this isn't a common issue I have and preceded to ask for their information in the hopes to pay them back for their kind gesture. They quickly declined and only asked that I pay it forward because there would always be someone in need.
