I've lived in Southern Shores for about eighteen years now. If anyone is looking for a place for retirement, a place for young children to grow and excel, and loves the "beachy" kind of lifestyle this is absolutely a place to consider. The crime rate here is extremely low. Growing up in such a tight-knit community, where everyone knows everyone, creates a family-friendly environment. I have loved every second of my childhood here and will cherish the memories I've made here for the rest of my life.
Police seem too focused on less important issues.
