Very gehtto, theres a lot of crime but it feels very like home. There's mostly his panics on this side of town.
I've lived in the South Valley all my life. I've experienced the best and worst, just like any other neighborhood. Nevertheless, the South Valley is home. What makes the South Valley feel like home, is the close and family-oriented community. Family owned business and programs that unit the Valley community. A couple of things I would like to change of the South Valley consist of upgrading buildings, roads, and community spaces that create safe and updated neighborhoods for the community, which in return will change the negative stigma of the Valley and show its true potential.
Amazing scenery and tranquil living, the springtime here is the best with all the flowers and greenery - a paradise in the desert!
It's really great seeing cops respond when they're needed. The safety is fine when you keep to yourself. I go running in my neighborhood and I mind my business and I'm fine.
Some places nearby are bad due to drugs, ect. I wouldn't mind leaving here again because of my dad; he's a single parent and has worked very hard to raise me. I've learned to work hard and stay focus on what I want. I don't the the area I live in effected me in a negative way. I think it effected me in postive way by showing me how some people live their lives by letting drugs control them is something I don't want.
This is an older area of the city. most people who live in this area have lived here for a couple generations. the families have passed down the many acres of land to one another.
My neighborhood has been getting worse with it's crime rates. a few years ago we had a kid kill his entire family and than go to our local walmart and think of shooting at people there.
I love my neighborhood, because everyone is like a family. I grew up here and have known everyone since I was little so they are all really good family friends
When something seems goes bad police are usually responsive because there usually always around.
the crime is okay where i live. I've been broken into once but from a family member. their are people in my street that does have drugs so that kind of creeps me out.
i Like living in Albuquerque New Mexico i was born here. i have lived here all my life, its my home i love it. there is a bunch of restaurants i love it.
Not alot of crime just peolpe that need to think about morals and life.
Its always been a nice place its not too over crowded and the scenery is very nice even the places to go far out and just watch the day go by n just relax with family and have good times .
It's quiet and for the most part it's home comfortable.
Home is home. It's not a bad place at all. Nicer and warmer would be better though.
I would say it has gotten worse since the James Boyd shooting, I think there are some crooked police officers and then there aren't. I think there is a lot of trust issues concerning peoples safety and police officers helping and or just standing back. there has to be a balance. people also forget that these police officers are people too.
I believe that when opportunities are available, it is best to take them. you never know when that could happen again. Education is very important to me as well because you can't get that taken away from you. you get to move forward in life and become something. Albuquerque is a city that has a lot of opportunity, it is also a good example of showing kids that where you come from doesn't have to mean that it defines you. there's always something greater to look forward to.
