Overall, safe little town on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Direct transportation into the city.I love this area! It is a beautiful area! We moved here from West Virginia for my husband's job. South Park reminded us of home. We love to be outdoors with our kids, and there are lots of outdoor activities here, from biking, walking, swimming. The only thing I would change here is the communication between the school and parents.
I lived near it my entire life. Would often to to the park, or go biking, or use the groves as party venues.
I recently moved into south park, as a change from city life. My wife and I have two kids that are approaching kindergarten age, and we wanted to get them established into a good school district, along with having a house that was our own with a yard, driveway, and in a safe neighborhood.
We have found it in south park, we have nothing but positive things to say about the area, the community offerings, and our neighbors. Its a short distance to go to the city and is close proximity to everything, but doesn't have the feel of the hustle and bustle of city life.
I am an avid biker, and runner, so utilizing the park for those activities is great! My kids also love going to the park, and having ample amount of playgrounds within 5 minutes of our house is amazing.

South Park is a smaller community, but the people living there are very nice and there is a strong sense of community. It is very safe and clean.
